Source: Me, doing me things.

Hey there, I'm Brandon.

I'm a 22 23 24 25 26 oh nevermind engineer living in the Bay Area. On a good day, I'm five foot eleven, and I enjoy long walks on the beach, staring philosphically off into the distance, and— oh sorry, wrong website.

Anyway, the main reason this blog exists is because I live out of the back of a 16' box truck, and this is where I document my thoughts and experiences as a truck-dwelling degenerate.

A bit of background: I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2015 with an undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering, and moved out to California pretty much immediately after. I decided to do the whole Truck Thing™ after interning out here for a summer, and realizing how few things I actually needed in my life: the year-round temperate weather and the generous amenities at work were more than enough for me to be happy and healthy.

And then it hit me: I don't need an apartment, I just need a bed and a place to put it. I'd heard about other people trying similarly silly things, so I did a bit of research and figured I'd give it a shot. And now here we are, later, not that I'm counting.

The truck is always forcing me to learn new things, both about myself and the world I live in. Stuff like how to live more simply, or figure out what makes me happy, or organize my finances to (attempt to) retire early. I'll ramble on about anything, topics range from Truck Improvement and Truck Tips to random thoughts and the occassional post about fitness or couches.

There's no real cohesive narrative here, I'm just making stuff up as I go along. The blog is mostly just for fun, something to look back on for when I eventually become a normal person. As a result, I don't do any advertising or product promotion. If you want to reach out to me, you can contact me via email.
